Project Management

As Quantity Surveyors will often act as a Project Manager on behalf of the client to include the responsibility for the selection, management and coordination of the resources needed for the construction projects. We often become involved in the long term operation of a building providing our clients with expert advice.

Our approach to every project is very simple. We provide Project Management expertise, which is tailored to respond to our Client's specific needs.

Financial management is obviously crucial but the complexity of modern construction is such that the client can be overwhelmed by the number of consultants and other specialists involved and reporting to him, often in unfamiliar terms. The appointment of a Project Manager can greatly ease the burden by providing a single link with the construction team. Chartered Quantity Surveyors are particularly well qualified by training, experience and above all by their overall knowledge of the whole construction industry to act as Project Managers.

Our key Project Management services can include all or parts of the following:

  • Understanding and developing the Client's Brief

  • Developing a Project Execution Plan
  • Contract administration
  • Project procurement strategy and advice
  • Procurement of consultant and contractors
